What are your candles and melts made up of?

aligned candles and melts are made up of an in house custom blend of NZ beeswax (where possible we like to source from a local beekeeper in the Manawatu) and organic coconut oil, mixed with the highest quality fragrance. Our wooden wicks are sustainably sourced and made from only 100% Natural wood from Sappy Fruit Trees. and there we have it! no nasties, no additives! 

We decided to keep a range of soy wax melts to ensure we cater to a wider range of customers especially those who use an electric burner as beeswax does not burn efficiently in that method as it doesn't get hot enough. For Beeswax Melts we recommend a tea light burner.

Why did you switch your blend from your beeswax soy blend to beeswax and coconut oil?

As a Small Business we are always open to new ideas to grow within our business and improve to produce the best products we can for you all, we loved our beeswax soy blend but we knew we could take it up a notch. Our new formula is so luxurious, burns longer, burns brighter, scent throw is great, still natural of course, sets smooth after each burn (unlike natural soy wax- this was a huge factor for us) overall everything just blew us away and we just had to continue testing this formula and here we are!! we are obsessed! 

Why does my candle fall out if I tip it upside down? Why does my candle have a crack in the wax?
This is all due to the natural properties of beeswax, as this is a natural wax it naturally shrinks as it is in the cooling processes which causes the wax to pull away from the glass. Neither the shrinking or the crack in the wax effects the candle at all. 

Do you ship worldwide?

Unfortunately not worldwide at this stage, we ship within New Zealand (free freight over $70 and to Australia (free freight over $80) if you don't live in these countries and would like to place an order please contact us at aligned.fragrances@gmail.com and we will see what we can do!

Will you offer other candle sizes?

Absolutely! for now we do only have our large size available, however this size is perfect for any space!! keep an eye out in the very near future for more sizes to become available. 

Can my vessel be repurposed?

OFCOURSE! we encourage you all to repurpose your vessels, some examples of how you may do this, pen holder, make up brush holder, earbuds, cotton tips/pads holder the list really does goes on! if you would like your candle to be refilled please email us at aligned.fragrances@gmail.com to arrange this. Refills are definitely an option we would love to have for you to purchase on our website until this is available get creative or flick us an email to arrange a candle refill.

How important is candle care?

We don't just say it for the sake of it. Candle care is extremely important for your safety as well as receiving optimum performance from your candle. Failing to follow can result in injury, fire or poor performance from your candle, we have a candle care guide in the inside of all candle boxes, also a warning label on the bottom of every candle. Super duper easy to follow!!
